As entradas começaram a ser postadas a 1 de Janeiro de 2003 e para quem não tenha acompanhado atempadamente a sua publicação on line, há rubricas que permitem saber the story so far ou information about the text. Os leitores que queiram contribuir com os seus comentários podem ler as annotations guidelines. Há ainda uma enciclopédia construída pelos utilizadores do site e um mapa onde vão sendo assinalados os vários locais referidos por Pepys no seu diário. This site run by Phil Gyford is a presentation of the diaries of Samuel Pepys, the renowned 17th century diarist who lived in London. A new entry written by Pepys is published each day over the course of several years; 1 January 1660 was published on 1 January 2003. Readers who have just joined can read the the story so far, and find information about the text. If they want to post their own annotations they should also read the annotation guidelines. There is also an Encyclopedia featuring topics descriptions written by users of the site and a map signaling all the places refered to in the original text.
